Work Can Take All Your Time May 17, 2011 at 6:42 pm
To be single is often painted as being free to do what you wish. That is not the case, especially if you live in a big city like San Francisco or London. Rent can be very high and if you live alone you have to come up with the second income to pay for it. Many S.F. singles live at work and sleep at home. There is very little time left in the day to do laundry let alone hit the clubs and get a date. After a couple of years a hot time to you is some popcorn and Adult Videos and a full eight hours sleep. That is not so much the case if you can plan ahead.
The best way to do that is search personals at night during your workweek and book a date for the time you know that you have free. Local listings are the best. To have a short walk to the café instead of an hour long drive that involves a bridge toll. It is a modern day luxury to be able to chat with someone before you even meet him or her and to already know that you like him or her. In a time where one job pays your rent and the other job tries to pay for every thing else free time is the most sacred thing we have. It pays to think of ways to make it last. You can drop off laundry at a full service wash and fold for less then a dollar a pound. Safeway will deliver your food and sundries to your front door. In fact it is hard to think of something that you can’t get online. Take your time back as much as you can. In fact you can put all the things you don’t want on and people will come to you to take it away. Be smart with your cell phone pick and choose. Just because they are calling does not mean that you need to pick up. Think about how many hours that will give back to you, to have a personal life with.
